influenced by the Motown sound, the British invasion, jazz,  fusion, progressive

Hope is an anointed gospel singer, sultry blues and jazz singer. She attributes her
gospel music style to her mother Edith Merdell Hatch, grandmother Rosie Ayers,
Tramaine Hawkins, The Hawkins Family, Albertina Walker, and Yolanda Adams,
just to name a few.

Hope began singing at the tender age of 7 at the Union Baptist Church in Denver
Colorado. She grew up with African, gospel music and dance influences from her
family, always taught to remember her roots and to be proud of who she is.

Hope later began singing at weddings, anniversaries and funeral. In 1996 Hope
was featured as one of the premiere soloist on the GMWA-The Women of
Worship Album “Order My Steps”, singing soloist for “God will fix it just for you”.

In 1997, Hope moved to Los Angeles with her family to start a new life and took a
hiatus to raise her family. In 2004, Hope was invited to do a gospel tour in Europe
with her best friend and sister Shelia Michele’ of the 4Real Gospel Tour. She later
returned to perform again with Shelia in 2006-2007 for the SoulDeep European
Tour.
